Many cities now host “beer weeks”—Denver, Seattle, Portland, Boston, San Diego and San Francisco to name a few, and now with new HooDoo Brewing Co. Fairbanks, Alaska gets in the mix!

January 5, 2013 (Fairbanks, Alaska) – HooDoo Brewing Company is excited to announce their involvement in Alaska Beer Week, 10 days designated to celebrate delicious craft beer. Alaska Beer Week runs Friday January 11 through Sunday January 20, 2013.

During Alaska Beer Week, Fairbanks beer drinkers can expect events that will entice their senses. HooDoo has events scheduled to expand Fairbanks’ craft beer culture through education, collaboration, cooperation, and responsible libation.

“Other cities across the country have had craft beer week celebrations for many years, but this is the first time Fairbanks has the chance to get in the mix,” said Bobby Wilken, Owner and Head Brewer at HooDoo Brewing Co. “Our goal is to educate Fairbanksans and visitors about craft beer and help them appreciate the vibrant and delicious local scene that’s right here in their own back yard.”

This year will feature taproom events like Cupcakes and beer pairing with local A&K Cupcakes, Sausage, Mustard and beer pairing with local purveyors Homegrown Market and Moosetard, tappings of HooDoo’s new Barleywine and American IPA, Brewhouse tours, and an analog night where only vinyl records will be spun.
