More than 200 craft and imported beers by 50 breweries
April 2, 2012 – MILWAUKEE—The annual craft beer celebration Milwaukee Beer Week will kick off with the popular event, Taste of Great Brewers, Friday, April 20 at the Harley Davidson Museum®, 400 Canal Street, Milwaukee, WI 53201, from 6-9 PM.
Open to the public, Taste of Great Brewers, provides a once-a-year opportunity to sample the best of the best in craft beer, including limited edition beers created specifically for Milwaukee Beer Week. Also, it is a tremendous opportunity to sample craft beer products from across the country and around the world under one roof. This extraordinary public sampling offers over 200 craft and imported beers from over 50 different breweries for the affordable price of $40 per ticket.
“During a period when many industries and markets are struggling, the craft beer industry has continued to grow at an astonishing rate. Not only in sales, but the addition of new breweries and brew pubs in Wisconsin and nationally as well. Beer Week is a celebration of what is going on in the craft beer industry,” says Dave Cartwright, Beechwood Sales & Service Specialty Beverage of Wisconsin.
“In Milwaukee, beer is always part of our important celebrations in life. Beer Week is a chance to celebrate the beer itself. Milwaukee is a knowledgeable and enthusiastic beer community. Beer week is a chance to bring it all together and highlight the amazing things going on in craft brewing,” commented Jim McCabe, owner, Milwaukee Brewing Company.
Milwaukee Beer Week 2012 will feature more craft beers and exclusive events than ever before. For example, firkin Thursday, rare beer samplings, craft beer fish fries and more.
