South Shore Cape and Islands Beer Week: May 12-19

In its second year, South Shore Cape and Islands Beer Week (SSCIBW) is back with improved events highlighting the great selection of craft beer available on the South Shore. Presented by GreatBrewers.com, the primary goal of SSCIBW is to enhance beer knowledge and appreciation through a series of events throughout the South Shore of Boston, Cape Cod, and the islands.

Throughout the week, opportunities will be available to sample many unique offerings from dozens of world class brewers from just up the street to halfway across the globe. With the support of local bars, restaurants, caterers, retailers, and entertainers, SSCIBW has over 100 events and is sure to provide something for everyone. Highlighted events include:

  • Cisco Brews Cruise: Join Capt. John on a sunset cruise May 12, from 6-8:30 pm. Enjoy entertainment by guitarist/vocalist Jeff Ross and beer and food pairings courtesy of Cisco Brewery. Tickets $20
  • SSCI Beer Week Kickoff: Visit Historic downtown Plymouth on May 12, form 9-11 pm and enjoy the festivities as your favorite brewers take over the taps at accounts such as: The BBC, East bay Grille, The New World Tavern, Sam Diego’s T-Bones Roadhouse, Main Street Sport’s bar and more.
  • Sam Adam’s Beer Dinner: Join Samuel Adams at Alden Park in Kingston on May 14, form 7-10 pm for a multi-course dinner paired with Samuel Adams fine beers. Reservations required. Call 508-830-6777 for details.
  • Chimay Beer Dinner: Join brewery Chimay, on May 15, from 7-10 pm for an exquisite multi-course dinner paired with their fine Belgian Trappist Ales. This event sells out quickly so please call for reservations 781-585-2221.
