There’s something brewing at Bistango on Wednesdays this summer as the critically acclaimed Irvine restaurant launches craft beer tastings from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on its lushly landscaped patio.  Each week will feature a top local brewmaster who will introduce a flight of 4-5 highlighted beers.  Executive Chef Javier Montoya will offer a pre-selected item from his tapas menu with dishes including Atlantic salmon skewers; fried calamari with chipotle aioli; Greek salad; melon, chorizo and artichoke salad; strip loin carne con queso; green papaya and lobster salad; duck confit sliders; lobster and crabmeat sliders; and pan seared Diver scallops.

Among the featured So Cal breweries:

·      May 8 – Bayhawk (Irvine)

·      May 15 – Cismontane (Rancho Santa Margarita)

·      May 22 – Hanger 24 (Redlands)

·      May 29 – Stone Brewery (Escondido)

In June, Bistango will feature breweries from the West Coast:
