It’s about to get extra hoppy in Ithaca, NY!
On Thursday, October, 17, 2013, Ithaca Beer Co. will unleash a maelstrom of hop intensity to fellow craft beer drinkers when it releases Box of Hops – Our Special Collection of Extra Hoppy Beers.
Box of Hops is a specialty variety twelve pack featuring Ithaca Beer favorite, Flower Power – IPA plus three beers brewed exclusively for this collection: Dark Vine – Black IPA, Double Zilla – Double Red IPA and The Creeker – Double IPA.
Box of Hops is a limited release (only 10,000 packs) available in select markets around the Northeast beginning in late October, but on sale in the Taproom at Ithaca Beer starting Oct. 17th. Double Zilla, Dark Vine and The Creeker will make limited draft appearances around the Northeast and Ohio in support.
MORE ABOUT EACH BEER INSIDE BOX OF HOPS: Flower Power – IPA: Our wildly popular IPA is simultaneously punchy & soothing with a big body finish that boasts pineapple and grapefruit. ABV 7.5%
Dark Vine – Black IPA: A hoppy black IPA bursting with so much flavor that you might think you’re tasting double. Intensely floral nose, surprisingly light body, and strong bitter finish. ABV 9.5%
Double Zilla – Double Red IPA: Twice the experience of Cascazilla, we brewed Double Zilla with too many malts to list and an excess of American hops. Russet color, aggressively hoppy aroma & flavor, rich body, and fiery finish. ABV 11%
The Creeker – Double IPA: By no means an ordinary Double IPA. Creeker is all hops with little malt body. Intense citrus flavor & aroma with mischievously easy drinkability. ABV 9%
