To meet demand in Arizona, California and Texas markets, SanTan cans popular golden ale
Chandler, Arizona (May 28, 2014)—SanTan Brewing Company has officially launched in southern California and is headed to Texas in June with their core beers and summer seasonal, Mr. Pineapple. Now, adding to their canned beer lineup is SunSpot Golden Ale. There’s no better way to represent the Arizona culture of craft beer than with a brew like SunSpot Gold which is described as an American take on a traditional Blonde Ale, SunSpot Gold is brewed with light amounts of hops and American Pale Barley. It boasts a deep, rich golden color and delicate hop character.
SanTan founder and brewmaster, Anthony Canecchia, describes SunSpot Gold as having a light malt profile, very dry with a kiss of hops and a slight corn chip character. SunSpot Gold pairs well with aged parmesan, pepperoni and pizza.
This brew was developed for and inspired by the hot, dry climate of Arizona. According to Canecchia, SunSpot Gold was the very first beer ever brewed at SanTan Brewing Company in 2007 and serves as the inspiration for his Southwestern Style Ales.
About the inspiration behind SunSpot Gold, Canecchia said, “I became fascinated by Mesoamerican civilizations like the Aztecs, Mayans and Olmecs while studying archeology in college and wanted to create a brew that captured the essence of these ancient cultures.”
