Triple Voodoo unleashes Kraken double dry hopped Imperial IPA.. and our second barrel aged beer!

By Greg Kitchen November 29, 2012

Triple Voodoo Brewing is proud to announce the release of our Kraken double dry hopped imperial IPA.  The legend of the Kraken as a mythical beast of enormous proportions is well known by sailors throughout the world. Triple Voodoo’s Kraken Imperial India Pale Ale lives up to that reputation.  Double dry hopped with Cascade and Nugget hops and clocking in at 9% ABV, it is a force to be reckoned with. If that isn’t enough we fermented Kraken on American Oak to give it a full mouth feel and pay tribute to the vessels which carried the first IPAs across the ocean.

Kraken will be available in 22oz bottles and on draft in December 2012.

If that isn’t exciting enough we just released the second beer in our collaborative series of Buffalo Trace barrel aged beers this week!  We aged our Inception Belgian Style Ale for two months in a single barrel.  We decided to do a 50/50 blend of fresh Inception to Inception aged in the barrel to give it a balanced flavor.  The result is a beer that has all of the characteristics of Inception with nice vanilla tones and very prominent bourbon characteristics.   Look for this beer at a very well respected beer and spirits store on Divisadero Ave. in San Francisco. Only 36 cases were produced.

Raise a glass.. we hope you enjoy our latest offerings!
