“Our company has always believed in contributing to the community. The Alamo Beer Company Marathon Challenge is a great event and we are proud of this partnership,” stated Eugene Simor, President of Alamo Beer Company. Alamo Beer Company’s Marathon Challenge benefits many local Non-Profit Organizations including: Transplants for Children, Marrowme, Leukemia Society, Pressing on Texas, San Antonio Pet’s Alive, Spina Bifida, Zero-The end to Prostate Cancer, and Under the Bridge.

Alamo Beer Company is currently constructing an 8-million dollar facility on San Antonio’s east side. The 18,000 square foot complex will house a brewery, administrative office, beer hall and beer garden. The brewery is expected to be fully operational and limited access to the public in the fall. A significant public grand opening is scheduled for Spring 2015.

The Challenges were founded by Bart Childers who felt there was an efficient way to create a training series for half and full marathon runners. These runners are provided with four races that occur over four-month periods that fit into any trainers 18 week training plan.
