Washington, D.C. – Aug., 19, 2014 – Retired Marine Major Dustin J. Canestorp is now leading the Beer Army from Trenton, NC to Washington, D.C. as the brewery releases the small town taste to the nations capital. Today marks the first day Beer Army Combat Brewery beers are available outside of North Carolina. In addition to Washington, D.C., Beer Army Combat Brewery beer will be distributed to parts of Maryland, including Baltimore, and Delaware.

“Beer Army exists because people believe in it and that has never been more apparent to me”, Canestorp says.

Beer Army is on pace to produce close to 3,000 barrels of beer (93,000 gallons) this year, a number that is expected to grow. If that number goes up, that equates to more jobs. In addition to the newly acquired territory, Beer Army supplies more than 250 accounts across North Carolina.

Craft beer is on the rise and is evident after posting a $14.3 billion dollar sales year in 2013. In addition, craft beer in North Carolina accounted for more than $791,000,000 of economic impact. Beer Army hopes to increase that number, specifically in Eastern North Carolina.

Beers released include:
