In an effort to continue providing craft brewers access to valuable insight into the branding, marketing and distribution of craft beer, Brewbound.com will take its FREE educational meetup series – Brew Talks – on the road for a week-long West Coast tour that will make stops in San Diego, Los Angeles, Portland and Seattle.
The Brew Talks event series will make stops at four West Coast breweries during the tour, which kicks off on July 23 at the Lost Abbey in San Marcos, Calif. Brewbound will also make stops at Golden Road Brewing in Los Angeles on July 24, Two Beers Brewing in Seattle on July 25 and Widmer Brothers Brewing in Portland, Ore. on July 27. At each location, Brewbound.com editor Chris Furnari will moderate discussions on the business of craft beer with well-known beer industry professionals.
In Portland, Brewbound will also host the “Startup Brewery Challenge,” sponsored by Craft Brew Alliance. New craft breweries will have an opportunity to pitch their company and product to a panel of expert judges. Contestants will be judged on their ability to convey their brand proposition, go-to-market strategy, product quality and their vision for a collaborative brew with Widmer Brothers Brewing. The winning contestant will earn free admission to the December 5 Brewbound Session in San Diego and the opportunity to create a collaborative, limited-edition beer with the Widmer Brothers Brewing team. Beer companies that have brand revenues of $2 million or less and have been on the market for less than two years will be considered.
