Cold Storage Craft Brewery to be Rebranded as Florida Avenue Brewing Company

Cold Storage Craft Brewery, brewers of local Florida craft beers, has changed their name to Florida Avenue Brewing Company (Co).™ Better known as Florida Avenue Ales or Florida Ave, Cold Storage has changed its name in order to create consistency and strengthen brand recognition throughout the state.

Bruce Talcott, Co-founder and Managing Partner says they decided to make the change because “Our products are recognized in the trade as Florida Avenue Ales more so than Cold Storage Craft Brewery. Using Cold Storage Craft Brewery has caused some confusion with distributors and retailers alike. Our logo, with the ship and Florida Avenue, has gained great recognition in the market place and we are referred to as the brewers of Florida Avenue Ales.”

The name change is part of a comprehensive re-branding and marketing strategy which will be implemented over the course of the next year and a half. The strategy includes a new logo, improved point-of-sale materials, new domain and website with online shopping capability, and renovations to their tasting room, which is open to the public Tuesdays through Saturdays.
