Lost Coast Brewery Sponsors Local Artist in 47th Annual Kinetic Sculpture Race
Eureka, CA – May 22, 2015 – Lost Coast Brewery and Kinetic Sculpture fans are gearing up for the Annual Kinetic Sculpture race in Humboldt County, CA that takes place this Memorial Day weekend. Lost Coast has been sponsoring local Kinetic Artist, Ken Beidleman, for 4 years now.
“It has been really great working with Ken and seeing all his great ideas” Says Barbara Groom, Brewery Owner. Ken has been using a shark design the last couple years for his sculpture, a theme that goes hand in hand with Lost Coast Brewery’s brand, Great White Beer. The Brewery is excited to see this year’s creation racing down the Lost Coast.
The Kinetic Sculpture Race is a 3-day, 42-mile bicycle race over land, sand, mud and water. It is referred to by many as the “Triathlon of the Art World.” The race will start in Arcata, CA and end in Ferndale, CA. The sculptures are human powered all- terrain vehicles engineered to race over road, water, mud and sand.
