So far, 2011 has been an amazing year for the craft brewing industry, and here’s some cold hard proof! More than 50 new breweries in 27 states have opened since April. That’s only four months people! 

The Brewers Association, publishers of CraftBeer.com, also tracks and assists breweries that are in their planning stages. There are currently more than 700 breweries in planning on the books today, compared to 389 a year ago. With numbers like these, if you don’t have a craft brewery in your town yet, you’re bound to have one soon!
