April 7, 2015 – National Beer Day 2015 will include the premiere of Destination Beer, a new show featuring travel destinations for craft beer and food lovers.  2010 Master Chef Finalist Chris Spradley, created Destination Beer and will host the new show which is described as “a new travel and cooking reality show with great beer as the main ingredient!”  The pilot episode will feature Deschutes Brewery in Bend, Oregon.

The premiere will take place through the show’s You Tube Channel  (www.youtube.com/DestinationBeerShow) at 6pm Central time.  Two previews of the show were released on the channel last week.

By combining beer, food and travel in one show, Destination Beer brings together three things that Americans are passionate about.  “This is the show for everyone, “ says Spradley.  “Cooking shows are popular, craft beer is booming and everyone loves to travel!”

Each episode will feature a local craft brewery in the destination city, the beers they make and the people behind the scenes making the magic happen.  Chefs, local to the featured brewery, will prepare amazing dishes and pair them with selected beers and each recipe will be available to viewers on the website after the show airs.

Travel activities in the destination city will also be featured, including mountain biking, hiking, snow boarding and golf from the pilot episode in Bend.

Mr. Spradley has been working in the beer and restaurant industry for 16 years combined and it was the passion for cooking and craft beer that inspired Destination Beer.  “I love to cook a variety of dishes and of course, craft beer pairs so well with food.  It’s popular in restaurants and beer fests but there were no shows about it.  So I came up with one and added travel!”

Social media contests will also be held.  On Twitter, users who include the hashtag #DestinationBeer will receive an entry for each use into drawings for prizes from the show.  On Facebook, users who share the link to the show from the Destination Beer page will also receive entries.

Spradley also hosts a weekly radio show about beer, What’s On Tap Radio, which won 3rd place, from the North American Guild of Beer Writers in the Best Podcast category at the 2014 Great American Beer Festival.
