Phil Meeker joins Triple Voodoo Brewing as head brewer

“I’ve always sort of been into quality over quantity, in general – I’d rather have something taste better than have a lot of it,” said Phil when asked about his philosophy on beer.

Phil Meeker has been involved in the beer scene ever since he turned 21.  He started out working at a high-end bottle shop in Colorado and quickly got into home brewing. Phil joined San Francisco Brewing Company shortly after realizing he wanted to make brewing a career.  After San Francisco Brewing Company, he went to brew at Iron Springs Brewery in Fairfax for the past six and a half years.  When Phil was brewing at Iron Springs their beers won medals at both GABF and the World Beer Cup.

Phil will be joining Triple Voodoo Brewing in mid-Aug to unleash his passion for creating new and interesting beer to the San Francisco beer scene. He plans to launch a plethora of new recipes in Triple Voodoo’s new Dogpatch brewery and tap room this fall.

“I was born and raised here in San Francisco, and to do something that I’ve always wanted to do in my hometown is something really special.”
