Railhouse Brewery is thrilled to announce our Mastiff Oatmeal Stout won first place (Best in Show) on Saturday at the 10th annual Blues ‘n’ Brews Festival beer contest.  VIP festival attendees voted for their favorite after tasting the various contest entries.

Brian Evitts, brewmaster and co-owner of Railhouse Brewery, accepted the award.  “This win is a real honor, and we’re excited to expand the sale of Mastiff in bottle stores and bars,” said Evitts.

Blues ‘n’ Brews, put on annually by the Cape Fear Regional Theatre in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

About Mastiff Oatmeal Stout:  This is a variation of the sweet stout but has oatmeal added to reduce the heaviness of the other malts.  The result is a firm, smooth, silky light body, and a hint of nuttiness in a complex of coffee, chocolate, and roast flavors.
