Uinta Brewing Company returned home from Denver, Colorado adorned with a medal and a 1st place trophy from the Great American Beer Festival (GABF).

Cutthroat Pale Ale was awarded Silver in the Ordinary or Special Bitter category of the competition, a category that received 38 entries. GABF is the largest commercial beer competition in the world; 222 beer experts from 10 countries selected this year’s competition winners.

Uinta was also awarded the Festival Flair Award for Best Brewery Booth.  In pursuit of embodying the outdoorsy, adventurous nature of their brand, Uinta’s booth space featured a custom built and branded Yurt complete with grass flooring, trail signs, and accessorized with branded signage, cross-stitched art, a wall featuring framed fan-taken Instagram photos, and even a one-of-a-kind deer head made from Uinta beer labels.  Uinta’s space temporarily took festivalgoers out of the festival setting and into a quaint, tranquil Yurt where 8 Uinta beers could be sampled atop a custom repurposed whisky barrel bar.  Competition for festival flair is fierce in an industry that demonstrates extreme creativity and style; there were over 700 brewery booths in this year’s GABF festival hall.
