2012 Wisconsin Beer Lovers Festival

By hlaing

The City of Glendale, in partnership with the Wisconsin Brewer’s Guild and Draft Magazine, will host the Wisconsin Beer Lovers Festival on Saturday, June 16, 2012 from 1 – 5 p.m. at Bayshore Town Center.

The Wisconsin Beer Lovers Festival is the premier all-Wisconsin craft beer and tasting festival, featuring selections from more than 30 breweries throughout the state. Breweries include Sprecher Brewery, Lakefront Brewery, Milwaukee Brewing Company, New Glarus Brewing Co., Stevens Point Brewery, Capital Brewery, Titletown Brewing Co., and more.

Chefs from local restaurants will serve one-of-a-kind tasting portions designed to complement beer samples from the state’s finest craft breweries. Restaurants include Zambonie’s, Bravo! Cucina Italia, Bar Louie, Devon Seafood Grill, The Anchorage, COA, Great Dane Pub & Brewery, Vintage Brewing Co. and more.

The festival’s intimate atmosphere allows attendees to interact directly with brew masters and chefs to learn about their creations.

This year’s festival will include a number of new restaurants, such as the Bartolotta Group’s Rumpus Room and the American Club; unique treats like beer flavored cupcakes from BrewCakes and ice cream beer floats by The Chocolate Factory; as well as exciting giveaways, including a “Wheelbarrow of Beer Sweepstakes,” in which at least one WBG Wisconsin Beer Lover member will win a collection of rare beers, special seasonal beers and popular favorites from participating breweries.

The festival will be held Father’s Day weekend, allowing families to give Dad a gift that says thanks in a special way and treats him to a relaxing and enjoyable weekend that he’ll never forget. Families can enjoy the sights, sounds and shopping at Bayshore Town Center while Dad meets and converses with craft brew masters, samples the finest craft beers Wisconsin has to offer and enjoys delectable food pairings to match.

Tickets and festival travel packages are available at www.WisconsinBeerLoversFest.com starting at $40. Tickets include admission, a souvenir beer glass and unlimited sampling of beers and food pairings. Patrons must be 21 years of age or older to attend the event. Photo identification will be required at the admission entrance.

Designated drivers and patrons under 21 years of age can purchase a “Food Lovers Ticket” for $20.
