LONGMONT, CO • September 3, 2014 – Time to fill your stein with local libation and welcome the fall season – Longmont Oktoberfest is back September 26th- 27th! Presented by Left Hand Brewing Company, Longmont’s favorite fall gathering will take place once again at Roosevelt Park, featuring six local breweries including Left Hand, Oskar Blues, Pumphouse, 300 Suns, Grossen Bart, and Long’s Peak – our biggest beer fest yet! Longmont Oktoberfest will offer fresh fare, live music, and German themed fun & festivities for all ages.

The celebrations begin on Friday September 26th with the official first keg tapping at 6pm! The annual Oktoberfest bike parade will usher the keg from the local breweries to Roosevelt Park, where it will be tapped by Mayor Coombs. Don’t forget your lederhosen, because we’ll be in the Deutschland spirit all weekend long! Friday night goers can get in on the action at our Stein Holding Contest (kid’s edition too!) and bring your blankets and chairs, because we’ll be rocking out to the tunes of Last Men on Earth.  The celebrations continue Saturday September 27th starting at noon. Bring out the whole family for another great day of festivities & kids zone, local vendors, and live music featuring THUNK. At 3pm, be there as we begin to build the world’s longest bratwurst and beat our 2013 record! We’re grilling the 200 ft. long bratwurst, made by Boulder Sausageon site at Roosevelt Park, with all proceeds going to our non-profits.

Like all Left Hand Brewing events, Longmont Oktoberfest will be more than just a celebration but an opportunity to give back to the community. The 2014 Longmont Oktoberfest will benefit the Left Hand Brewing Foundation, Safe Shelter of St. Vrain Valley, and A Precious Child. Left Hand Brewing Company aims to continue the local tradition and fall celebration with neighbors & friends, while passionately pursuing their brewery community philosophy of contributing positively to where we live, work, and play.
