2010 Master Chef Finalist Chris Spradley is slated to host a new TV show about food and beer called Breweries, Bars and Beer Food.

The project is described as a show about “great beer, great food, the people who brew it, the people who cook it and everyone who loves both!”

The filming for the pilot episode of Breweries, Bars and Beer Food was completed in April in Bend, Oregon at Deschutes Brewery and their Bend brewpub. A preview for the show will be released by the Brewers Association as a part of the celebration for American Craft Beer Week (May 13-19) on Tuesday May 14 at 9 a.m. CST on the show’s Facebook page.

The show will take viewers behind the scenes of breweries, showing them the brewing process and introducing them to the men and women who make the beers that they love.

It will also feature chefs, local to the featured brewery, who prepare great dishes, some prepared with beer, demonstrating the cooking process and offering the best beer pairings. The recipes for the dishes on the show will be available to the viewers on the website after the show airs.

According to Brewers Association statistics,  craft beer growth in 2012 was 15 percent by volume and 17 percent by dollars, continuing a staggering growth model as compared to the overall economy.

Cooking shows are also growing in popularity. The Food Network saw growth of over 20 percent in 2012 with a nightly average of 1.1 million total viewers ranging in age from 25-54 .

By combining beer, food and travel in one show, Breweries Bars and Beer Food brings together three things that Americans are passionate about.

Filming and production is being completed by White Knuckle Studios, Bend, Oregon.
