Rinn Duin Brewing Celebrates their First Year in Business with an Anniversary Event and the Release of its 1st Anniversary Ale

Toms River, NJ: Time flies when you’re having fun and selling beer for the first time. Rinn Duin Brewery will celebrate its first anniversary on January 24, nearly one year since they opened to the public on January 23, 2014. In honor of the occasion, 1st Anniversary Ale: Blackthorn, will be on draft alongside their current tap list.

Blackthorn pays tribute to the brewery’s original and legal name (Blackthorn Brewing, LLC), which changed to Rinn Duin Brewing in April 2013 due to a trademark conflict. Blackthorn 1st Anniversary Ale is an unorthodox approach to a Belgian-style Dubbel. With our heritage in mind, this ale is crafted with the finest UK malts, Irish yeast, & dark Belgian candi sugar, which lends a striking plum aroma. Prominent flavors of dark fruit and raisin are complimented by a lingering pear finish.

To commemorate the brewery’s first Anniversary, 365 Blackthorn bottles (22 oz.) will be available in three varieties. Two of the three varieties are barrel aged; one in a red zinfandel wine barrel (supplied by our neighbors Bacchus Wine Making Club), and one in a 20-year-aged rum barrel. Limit 3 bottles per person, 1 of each variety. The barrel aged versions will also be on draft. Make sure to bring a business card for the “fish bowl” raffle. You could win gift cards or swag from local restaurants and bars that serve Rinn Duin. The celebration begins at 2:00 pm at the brewery, located at 1540 Rt 37 W, Toms River, NJ 08755.
