(Tulsa OK) – HANSON is excited to announce their 3rd annual Hop Jam Craft Beer and Music Festival for Sunday May 22nd, with tickets going on sale today at TheHopJam.com. After record attendance two years running, the celebrated downtown festival set in Tulsa’s thriving Brady Arts District is focused on providing a richer experience for festival-goers, with more family activities and twice as many attending breweries as last year. More than 60 breweries will be on site, representing 20 states and more than 10 countries. Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros will headline the main stage, which will also feature performances from a diverse lineup including Albert Hammond Jr. (The Strokes), X Ambassadors, John Moreland, Chase Kerby + The Villains and more.

“We’re really proud of the awesome lineup of artists and brewers joining the festival, all of whom will help to make it the best Hop Jam yet”, said co-founder Taylor Hanson. “Headlining the first two years was exhilarating, but playing a different role this year is equally exciting for us.”

The Hop Jam is also offering a more extensive ticket selection to all guests this year. The new premium Hop Head VIP beer ticket includes even earlier access, special Hop Talks featuring a panel of craft brewers, and access to a special indoor space including all day food and beverages. The new premium Hop Jam Music VIP tickets include reserved seating in the festival main stage area, with all day food and beverages in an indoor space available to all ages.

The festival site is also expanding significantly, with the craft beer area doubling in size, and also adding a beer garden and games lawn, while the all-ages area of the festival is expanding to encompass the new Hop Jam Park, at Guthrie Green, catering to family friendly activities and entertainment.

The popular statewide opening band contest will continue to be hosted in partnership with the Tulsa World, providing an opportunity for the winning artist to perform the opening set on the festival main stage. Extending the opportunity to local musicians, the top runners up will also win the opportunity to perform at the new Park Stage at Guthrie Green.

The Hop Jam will again raise funds to support the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma through the raffle of a custom-made Hop Guitar, crafted after the festival logo, and signed by brewers and artists taking part in the event. The family activities and a special auction in the Hop Jam Park area will also help support another Tulsa non-profit, Emergency Infant Services, who work to provide for the needs of infants and children whose families are in crisis.

For The Hop Jam 2016, HANSON are again partnering with Oklahoma favorite the McNellie’s Group to host the beer festival. These two organizations have a shared interest in cultivating the craft beer community and fostering world-class events in the state.

This year’s Hop Jam Festival is proud to acknowledge some of the key partners helping lend their support to make the event possible, including iHeart Media, KMOD, The Beat, Tulsa World Media, BOK Center, LDF, Jaguar Land Rover, Visit Tulsa, Tulsa Film + Music Office and many more.
