Hill Farmstead Brewery Introduces New Brewer-in-Residence Program

Hill Farmstead Brewery has launched its new Brewer-in-Residence program at the Greensboro Bend, Vermont, brewery. The invite-only program will bring in talented brewers from around the country to learn from each other and facilitate collaboration, experimentation and growth.

Inspiration for the residency came from a guest brewer program at Nørrebro Bryghus in Denmark. Similarly, the program in Denmark hosts brewers from around the world for one week to collaborate and learn about the region. After spending time as Nørrebro Bryghus’ head brewer Shaun Hill took the idea with him to Hill Farmstead and ran with it.

“The (program) is more than a singular interaction,” explains the brewery. “It is an immersive experience for the resident and a chance for all of us to continue learning and sharing educational opportunities.”

Hill Farmstead’s first brewer-in-residence will be Tim Clifford from Sante Adairius Rustic Ales. During the 12 day residency, the brewery explains the two forces will “brew a number of beers together and experiment and explore and push boundaries with various ingredients, processes, and techniques.”

While the brewery is not soliciting volunteers for the position at this time, they plan to invite a new brewer to join them once Clifford’s residency concludes.
