Jackie O’s Brews First Batch in New Facility

Brad Clark, brewmaster at Jackie O’s Pub & Brewery let us know a little about their brewery expansion and shared a video of his first brew on their new system.

Prior to the expansion, Jackie O’s had a brewing capacity of 900 barrels. In 2011, the Athens, Ohio, craft brewer produced 740 barrels on the brewpub’s 7-barrel system [Source: 2012 May/June issue of The New Brewer]. With the expansion complete, Clark is now running a 20-barrel brewhouse with four 40-barrel fermenters.

“Initial capacity for 2013 will be 4,000 to 5,000 barrels,” said Clark. “We will be canning in the next few months.”
