Beer Hunter Movie Premier and Party

Share Post

Join us at RFD Washington for a special premier screening of “Beer Hunter: The Movie” on Michael Jackson’s Birthday. Attendees will enjoy specially brewed beers, complimentary food, automatic entry into our raffle with great prizes, plus a custom logo Imperial pint glass commemorating the event. There will be a toast to Michael, a Silent Auction with proceeds to benefit charity, plus several guest brewers and beer writers on hand to help us celebrate Michael’s life and memory. The party starts at 7 pm in the back room with beer tappings and beer-centric appetizers. The screening will begin at 8:00 pm, festivities, food, and beer and raffle drawing to follow. For tickets and information go to the Beer Hunter Movie Screenings page.

Several local and national breweries will be on hand providing special beer and raffle prizes, including representatives from New Glarus, DC Brau, The Lost Abbey, Mad Fox Brewing, Port City Brewing, Perennial Ales, Laughing Dog, RJ Rockers, Sawtooth Brewery, Diamond Knot, and Dock Street Ales, with more to be announced. Raffle prizes will include signed copies of beer books, breweriana, special large format beers, t-shirts, hats and posters. The Silent Auction will feature a variety of brewing sessions, private group brewery tours, dinners, and memorabilia. The Beer Hunter Movie directors will be on hand discussing the project and showing outtakes and rare footage throughout the night. Ticket holders will receive five complimentary beers, complimentary food all evening, and discounts on all beer thereafter. Ten percent of all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Team Fox, for Parkinson’s research, on behalf of the Craft Beer community. We are hoping this will be the first of an annual Michael Jackson Memorial Fundraising event, to coincide with Michael’s birthday.

One of Michael’s wishes was to make another Beer Hunter series. The directors of the Beer Hunter Movie felt that a special screening, on Michael’s birthday, in conjunction with the CBC, would be a fitting opportunity to share this project with beer lovers and fans of Michael’s work. This film, DVD, and celebration is our tribute to his life and legacy. Michael, you are not forgotten. For more information on the film, go to www.beerhuntermovie.com.

See you in D.C.
