Auburn, AL (May 8, 2013) – Ariccia Trattoria & Bar’s third Craft Beer Dinner will take place on May 16, 2013 at 6 p.m. and will feature four courses paired with beers from Blue Pants Brewing Company. Brewery Co-owner and Brewmaster Mike Spratley, who is a native Alabamian, will be in attendance to speak with guests about his craft brews and brewery. The cost of the dinner is $45 per person. Reservations are required as space is limited to 24 diners and can be made by calling (334) 321-3181.
The dinner will begin with Spare Pair Pale Ale paired with Crispy Flat Bread with Grilled Shrimp and Fava Beans. The second course will also highlight the Spare Pair Pale Ale, which will be paired with Oven Baked Spare Pair Pale Ale Marinated Rock Oysters, Wild Garlic, Brie and a Smoked Maplewood Bacon Salad. For the third course, diners will enjoy a Workman Common Ale paired with Workman Common Braised Short Rib, Butter Roasted Potato, Salsify, Radish, Spring Peas and Horseradish. The dinner will conclude with Pinstripe Stout paired with a Frozen Pinstripe Stout and Coffee Parfait, Spice Cream, Handmade Fudge and Granola. Before the presentation of each course, Brewer Spratley and Chef Garry Anderson will discuss the intricacies of the pairings and the subtleties of the beer and food combination.
May 13-19th is also American Craft Beer Week, and Ariccia will be offering some great ways to celebrate in addition to the May Craft Beer Dinner. Monday-Wednesday, guests can enjoy $12 Craft Beer Flights that will include a choice of four, six-ounce samples from five different breweries from 3-10 p.m. On May 16th, live music by Ziggy Luis will be featured on the Ariccia patio from 5-7 p.m. as well as $3 craft beer pints.

Ariccia Italian Trattoria & Bar is located in The Hotel at Auburn University, 241 S. College Street in Auburn.
