Second Self Beer Company to Release Limited Edition Margarita in Gose
Maverick & Gose Returns With A New Recipe and Both Beers Launch on June 1st in Georgia & Alabama
Atlanta-based brewery Second Self Beer Company will release Margarita in Gose (4.3% ABV, 8 IBU), a spin-off of Second Self’s most popular warm-weather beer, Maverick & Gose, on June 1st. Exclusively offered as a draft beer in their taproom last summer, the refreshing, fast-selling beer was so beloved that the brewery is bringing it back on draft and in cans for Summer 2017. Margarita in Gose is made with organic, Florida orange peel and freshly squeezed lime, imparting the classic, sweet-tart taste of a refreshing margarita. A hint of salt nicely complements the citrus flavor. Suggested food pairings include braised pork al pastor, ceviche, mango salad, and chips & queso. For Second Self fans in Georgia, a release party for Margarita in Gose will be held on Thursday, June 1st at Second Self’s Taproom. During the party, Second Self will be tapping the first kegs and selling the first cans of the season, while guests can enjoy a tour and tasting for $14 and six packs of beer to-go for $10.
Margarita in Gose is the perfect companion to Maverick & Gose, Second Self’s take on a traditional Gose, which has an updated recipe for 2017. Coriander lends a bright flavor to the beer, and it’s dry hopped with fruity Mosaic hops. The resulting flavor is filled with mango-peach fruity aroma and no bitterness.
