DENVER — Renegade Brewing and Brasserie du Baril breweries from Denver Colorado, and Brest, France are launching a commemorative beer to celebrate the 70th Beer Stylesanniversary of their sister city partnership with a tasting party. On March 30th lovers of culture, France, and of course beer will gather at Renegade Brewing Co. to launch a new collaborative beer recipe that will be exclusively served in Brest and Denver as a symbol of the two sister cities’ strong ties.

Denver’s French population will be there in force. Denver and Brest’s relationship began in 1948 when Denver school children donated their pennies and nickels to help rebuild the Brest City Hospital after it had been bombed in WWII. Ever since the relationship has blossomed into a rich variety of student, industry and cultural exchanges, food events, and now beer. The recipe, like the relationship, is a mix — French saison meets American hops. The event is $15 and you get a commemorative glass, a crepe and a beer.

About Renegade Brewing Company: Founded in 2011, Renegade is a craft brewery created by homebrewer and craft beer enthusiast Brian O’Connell in the Santa Fe Arts District of Denver, CO. Renegade’s mantra of Offensively Delicious guides the company in producing full-flavored, boundary-pushing craft beer. This is a beer for those that like to challenge the status quo. That are unapologetically themselves. The risk-takers. The rebel spirits. The Renegades. In 2016, Renegade became the first craft brewery to utilize a one-for-one business model, donating one day of clean drinking water for every gallon of beer sold through their Tap 4 Tap program.
