Fiction Beer Releases ‘Halfwolf’ New England Style Imperial IPA

Share Post

‘Halfwolf’ is inspired by the stunning art deco stylized graphic novel, Monstress, Volume One, Awakening by Marjorie Liu and Sana Takeda.  This was our first foray into the graphic novel genre and we were instantly drawn into a beautifully illustrated fantasy world that is on the brink of war.  At the center of the story is Maika Halfwolf, a mysterious young woman who is fighting both metaphorical and physical monsters within herself.  Being half human and half ancient, she’s “Arcanic” and possess incredible power.

Our newest New England Style IPA is a double dry hopped version.  The word lupulin is derived from Modern Latin lupulus, meaning the hop or also, wolf.  This beer is loaded with hops and is therefore, halfwolf.  Copious dry hops including Ariana, Lemondrop, and Azacca lend notes of grapefruit, gooseberry, pineapple and tangerine.  An all malt grain bill with no flaked wheat or oats creates a unique flavor profile yet maintains a soft, fluffy mouthfeel.

Halfwolf will be available at Fiction Beer Company on March 2nd.

Available in 16oz 4 packs and on draft, while supplies last.
