He has chosen the form of a Russian Imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels in order to entice and seduce you. Beware, however, the flavors in this rich elixir are as complex and intricate as the lengths Koschei has taken to hide his soul.
Instead of unearthing a chest containing a hare, which in turn holds a duck, that possesses an egg, encapsulating a needle that conceals Koschei’s soul, you will experience layers of chocolate, roasted fruits, blackberry and fig. Subtle vanilla and alcohol warmth will sneak onto your pallet and you’ll soon forget all fear of the Great Abductor. A soul as powerful as his demands a worthy vessel, which is found in the body of this twelve-point-one percent ale.
If you are brave enough to seek out the legend of yore, he will only be found waiting in adorned bottles of a three-fourths liter at the taproom of White Street Brewing Company in Wake Forest, North Carolina. Rumors suggest that a feast is being held in his honor on that Saturday where Koschei the Deathless may impart some of his wisdom and small tastes of fortune through his brewing servants if he’s so inclined.
Be warned, many will seek an audience with Koschei to gain his favor so stake your claim early, lest you be left alone and defenseless.
