RiverWalk Brewing Launches High Waters Hoppy Session Ale Series

Share Post

What started as an experiment by founder Steve Sanderson, the High Waters hoppy session ale series has become a philosophical investigation into what a session beer can be. The newest release, High Waters #2, features Citra, Mosaic and Amarillo hops. One can expect an aromatic nose paired with tropical fruit notes in a very approachable format.

As the series continues to grow, Sanderson has set a few ground rules to focus their efforts:

• Sessionable beers with lower alcohol, under 5% alcohol
• Embrace a hop forward approach
• Explore how individual hop characteristics effect flavor
• Stay playful!

Steve Sanderson further explains, “If a particular version is well received, it may become a core beer in the future. Our goal is to have customers kick back and enjoy a few while we play around with new beer recipes that maximize flavor while maintaining drinkability.”

The series name comes from the realization that they’ve run out of room in our current brewery. Much like a growing kid’s pants that have crept up over the ankles, they squeeze these small production batches into an already super-tight brewing schedule.
