On Tuesday, May 22, Black Shirt Brewing Co. is stomping the pedal with the release of its new low ABV, juicy and hazy blood orange IPA, Turbo Juice. Made in the style of a Vermont or New England IPA, this beer’s aroma boasts mango, passionfruit, kiwi, and under ripe strawberry coupled with undertones of field grass and a tinge of pine. On the palate, Turbo Juice is soft and rounded with a very restrained bitterness, an abundance of juicy heft, and a refreshing citrus peel finish. Heaps of Citra and Galaxy hops meld with lactose and blood oranges to create a near-zero IBU beer that’s infinitely crushable. Turbo Juice is best paired with a warm afternoon, the shade of a tree, and a book you can’t put down. (No crowler limits.)
