BALTIMORE, MD – Heavy Seas Beer is pleased to announce several new additions and changes to its portfolio in 2017. TropiCannon Citrus IPA will become available year-round, Gold and Cutlass will return in package format to the year-round lineup, and “The Alpha Effect,” a new hazy IPA, will be introduced as a limited release.
The barrel-aged series, “Uncharted Waters,” will gain the addition of an annual anniversary ale at the end of each year. For 2017, it is cleverly named “22.”
The “Partner Ships” collaboration series will feature beers brewed with Union Craft Brewing of Baltimore, MD, Cigar City Brewing of Tampa, FL, and MadTree Brewing of Cincinnati, OH.
Finally, the Boatload IPA Sampler, available year-round, will include a new IPA,Single Cannon, rounding out the changes for 2017. Single Cannon will be a single hop IPA, and the hop variety will change several times during the year.
“We’ve spent a lot of time and effort every year tweaking the product portfolio,” says Heavy Seas Founder, Hugh Sisson. “2017 will see the return of local favorites Gold Ale and Cutlass Lager, as well as a few new offerings to keep us on our toes. It’s a challenge, but this is part of the excitement of being in this industry today.”
