Baranof Island Brewing Company Ships out Their Largest Order to Date

Sitka, Alaska: Baranof Island Brewing Company proudly announces a partnership with The Odom Corporation. On Friday November 7^th Baranof Island Brewing Company shipped out its largest order to date to Alaska’s largest city, Anchorage. Over 1,700 gallons of handcrafted American ale is currently on its way to Anchorage.

Baranof Island Brewing Company, which recently made national headlines with the unveiling of their new canning line, has been growing exponentially over the past few years. The brewery started in 2009 making 10 gallon batches. After two economic development loans from the city and borough of Sitka, the brewery now produces well over 45,000 gallons a year.

The Odom Corporation has been a family run Alaskan business since it was founded in 1936 by Milt Odom. The Odom Corporation is a distributor of beer wine and spirits with offices in Alaska, Washington, Oregon and Idaho

This is not the first Alaskan craft beer represented by The Odom Corporation. Both Kassik’s Brewery and Denali Brewing Company are part of the Odom family. The Odom Corporation covers all of Alaksa from Adak to Barrow.

We realize that the demand of our product exceeds our reach and this partnership is what is best for our customers” says Rick Armstrong, the brewery’s co-owner. “We look forward to the increased availability of our product and we cant wait to hear the reaction from all of the thirsty Alaskans.” When asked about the brewery’s ability to keep up with demand Mr. Armstrong said “We will fill any order, on time”.

Community has always been the main focus for Baranof Island Brewing Company. “We are a local brewery first and foremost” The town of Sitka has a population of roughly 9000. Located on Baranof Island in Alaska’s south east pan handle.

Baranof Island Brewing Company or BIBCO to the Sitka locals, has established themselves in the larger Alaskan markets. With their partnership with the Odom Corporation the handcrafted ales from Sitka can reach all over the state.
