DENVER—A wide range of industry-related events are slated for the week of April 8, when the 2019 Craft Brewers Conference kicks off at the Colorado Convention Center in downtown Denver. On Wednesday, April 10, Black Shirt Brewing Company will host “CBC @ BSB: A Wind-Down Shindig,” featuring a special tapping of Black Shirt’s new Okul Wheat IPA, as well as vinyl sets from DJ Details, a retro liquid light show, and small bites.

April also marks the two-year anniversary of Black Shirt’s gourmet pizza kitchen, which remains one of only a handful of in-house kitchens found in a Denver brewery. Crafting pizza made from Black Shirt’s spent grain (their flour is milled in-house), as well as a selection of appetizers and salads, the brewpub has quickly gained a loyal following for providing a “one stop” experience for its guests: superlative beer, delicious food, and warm hospitality.

Located on the “east side” of the RiNo Art District, Black Shirt is just 2.4 miles from the Convention Center, making it a quick ride from downtown via numerous transportation options. In fact, RTD’s 38thand Blake Street Station, accessed via the A-Line (which regularly runs trains from Union Station out to Denver International Airport), is just one block from the brewpub’s back door.

“We hope CBC attendees and industry-related folks will venture north to BSB for what promises to be one heck of a party,” said Chad Miller, owner of Black Shirt Brewing Co. “Gatherings like the CBC don’t happen every day, and we want to take this opportunity to open our house to those who are looking for something a little different, off the beaten path. That’s how we like it – on the fringes.”

About Black Shirt Brewing Co When you visit Black Shirt, expect the whole package: a warm and welcoming taproom, delicious craft beer and food, and superlative service, all imbued with a DIY ethos and rough-hewn aesthetic. We’ve been handcrafting expressive, delicious ales in Denver’s Cole neighborhood since 2012, and in 2017, we opened our small but mighty pizza kitchen. Guests can also enjoy live music every weekend from March through September, either in our brewhouse (The Brewhouse Sessions) or on the one-of-a-kind pallet stage in our beer garden (BSB Live and Outside).
