Cary will be the second CBC location open and operating in North Carolina, joining Hickory which opened in March of 2016 and the first in the state’s Triangle area, which has developed an incredible beer scene.
Craft Beer Cellar Cary aims to be the premier craft beer store in Cary, with a focus on local, regional, US, and international craft beer. “We want to provide our customers with an unparalleled craft beer experience, from product selection, to hospitality, to educational events,” said store owner Andrea Cross-Dial. “We want to know our customers, share our passion with them, and provide the education needed for them to feel informed and confident in their selections.
The Grand Opening will include food popups from Annelore’s German Bakery, serving pretzels amongst other treats beginning at 11am, and Rare Earth Farms Food Truck. who will be setting up shop for dinner service. CBC Cary’s opening date coincides with the anniversary of the Edmund Fitzgerald sinking. To commemorate the event, 8oz pours of Great Lakes Brewing’s Edmund Fitzgerald Porter will be given away to each customer that signs up for the store’s loyalty program. Giveaways will take place throughout the day as well.
Customers will be allowed to assemble packs with any beer in the store – any pack in the store is able to be broken up for singles to be purchased. Craft Beer Cellar is planning on collaborating with breweries to provide tastings, tap takeovers, and other events to help educate about beers, beer styles, breweries, brewing history, process, and more. Cross-Dial also plans on going the extra mile to bring in beer from some of the highly regarded Triangle area breweries.
In addition to stocking hundreds of beers, CBC Cary will also offer a small selection of thoughtfully sourced cider, wine, glassware, books, and complementary food products. The store will not only have packaged products to go, but will also feature 12 draft lines highlighting exceptional beer from North Carolina and beyond.
