Dive Deep Into the Beers of LauderAle

Dive Deep Into the Beers of LauderAle

In the first video voyage, co-captain of LauderAle, Kyle Jones dives into the recipe and characteristics of one of their most popular beers, the Monkey Road Red. Learn the inspiration and the secrets of this flagship brew in a video adventure on the high seas of beer, as well as the history and the legend that gave it its name.

The brewery and taproom located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida offers a behind-the-scenes account of what makes this beer special, and there may be bonus footage at the end, so don’t touch that dial. This is just the starting point with more short films to come, featuring LauderAle’s head brewer and more.

Monkey Road Red

A beer that is hard to categorize, this hop-forward twist on the classic amber ale, utilizes heavy, dry Simcoe hops to bring about a balancing layer of complexity. Malts meet hops in a symbiosis of character that includes passion fruit, pine sap, grapefruit pith, toasted grain, caramel sweetness, and floral resin. A semi-dry finish with lasting bitterness have this drinking like an India Amber Ale, or a red IPA as Kyle describes it so succinctly in the video. If you are in South Florida, be sure to swing by and try a pint of this delicious beer.

LauderAle Brewery & Taproom

LauderAle started in a five-gallon bucket and evolved into a must-visit treasure, celebrated in Fort Lauderdale and all over South Florida. LauderAle took home a gold medal at the 2016 Best Florida Beer Championships, and a silver medal at the 2017 event. What an adventure that started from just a conversation between beers.

Just like every great idea, LauderAle was conceived between friends over a few beers. Owners Joey Farrell and Kyle Jones stumbled upon this idea one night at a local craft beer bar. While bantering about possible inventions and other business ideas, the one that stuck was how fun and adventurous it would be to own a brewery.
