Lake Bluff’s Kosmonaut Wins Gold

Lake Bluff Brewing Company’s Kosmonaut Russian Imperial Stout brought home a gold medal in the United States Open Beer Championship’s Wood Barrel Imperial Stout category.  According to the U.S. Open Beer Championship’s website, “Breweries from around the world sent in more than 2500 beers representing 68 different categories for the 2013 U.S. Open Beer Championship…Judges from England, Canada and the United States announced the winners this week…The oldest brewery in the United States and the oldest brewery in the world also medaled.”

Lake Bluff Brewing Company describes Kosmonaut as:
