SANDPOINT, IDAHO- MickDuff’s Brewing Company has deemed Tuesday nights, Non-Profit Night at their Beer Hall and Brewery, located 220 Cedar St. After 5:30pm, $1 of every beer purchased will be donated to a 501c3 non-profit in the greater Sandpoint area and the patrons get to choose who they support.
The bartenders give out 1 ticket per beer purchased for on-premise consumption (1 ticket for a pint, 1 ticket for a pitcher) and the patrons get to pick where they give the dollar between two or three predetermined nonprofit options. MickDuff’s kicked off this program January 2015 with the 24 Hours for Hank Foundation and Angels Over Sandpoint. Both causes raise a great deal of their funds this time of the year.
“We’ve always supported non-profits and their fundraising efforts but the Beer Hall has allowed us an even greater opportunity and venue to support them,” explained Duffy Mahoney, owner.
The Beer Hall has been a fundraising event venue for non-profits in their first year of opening and they hope many more approach them in the future. They have dedicated one Tuesday or Thursday of every month to a fundraising event.
