Who: Parry’s Pizzeria & Bar, a New York-style pizzeria with an unparalleled craft beer selection, and Dogfish Head Craft Brewery are teaming up to kick-off a unique tap takeover featuring rare beers from the renowned brewery paired with one-of-kind menu creations from the masterminds at Parry’s.

What: Get Off-Centered: A Tap Takeover for the Nonconformist is a celebration for the slightly off-kilter and those looking to break out of the mold of typical craft beer pairings. The inaugural year of this annual event will feature off-centered pizza creations from the masterminds at Parry’s paired with hard-to-find Dogfish Head brews including 2015 120 Minute IPA (try this beer side-by-side with 2018 120 Minute for a unique tasting experience straight from founder Sam Calagione’s stash). In addition to these rare beers and unique pizza creations, each participating Parry’s location will be giving away Dogfish Head swag and prizes throughout the day.

When: Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Where: Participating Parry’s Pizzeria & Bar locations include:

  • Highlands Ranch (9567 S University Blvd., Highlands Ranch, Colorado 80126)
  • Johnstown (4874 Thompson Pkwy, Johnstown, Colorado 80534)
  • Longmont (1232 S Hover St, # 100, Longmont, Colorado 80501)
  • Northglenn (100 E 120th Ave, Northglenn, Colorado 80233)
  • Southglenn (2154 E. Commons Ave. Suite #300 Centennial, CO 80122)

Why: A passion for bringing people together through food and drink is at the heart of both Parry’s and Dogfish Head’s work brewing high quality beers and serving made-from-scratch offerings. Get Off-Centered: A Tap Takeover for the Nonconformist brings the brands together to create an innovative experience that will challenge attendees’ palates through food and beer pairings. With inspired offerings like Maple Buffalo Wings featuring the brewery’s Namaste White or Pumpkin Bites paired with Bourbon Barrel-Aged Palo Santo Marron, the partnership of Parry’s and Dogfish Head will continue the tradition of tap takeovers serving as a way for patrons to discover favorites that may include unexpected new flavors and offerings.

Beers to be tapped include:

2015 and 2018 120 Minute IPA (all five locations) Great American Beer Bars

Clocking in at 15-20% ABV, 120 Minute IPA is continuously hopped with a copious amount of high-alpha American hops throughout the boil and whirlpool, and then dry-hopped with another pallet of hops. Unfiltered and abundantly hoppy, it’s the Holy Grail for hopheads!

Bourbon Barrel-Aged Palo Santo Marron (Highlands Ranch, Northglenn, Southglenn, Johnstown)

Dogfish Head took their unfiltered, unfettered, unprecedented Palo Santo Marron aged in handmade wooden brewing vessels and aged it in it in not one, but two kinds of wood! First, it spent a month aging in their 10,000-gallon Palo Santo tanks made from South American ‘holy wood,’ which provides layers of caramel and sandalwood. Then, it spent four more months in bourbon barrels for notes of oaky vanilla and coconut.

Fruit-Full Fort (Highlands Ranch, Northglenn, Longmont, Johnstown)

A twist on the brewery’s beloved Fort, Fruit-Full Fort is brewed with four types of berries – Raspberry, Blackberry, Boysenberry and Elderberry! This juicy blend of dark berries creates depth and complexity reminiscent of a jammy red wine.

2016 World Wide Stout (Northglenn, Longmont)

Rare and often rumored about in the darkest corners of the beer community, World Wide Stout is dark, rich, roasty and complex, and lingers somewhere beyond the limits of the average beer.

Puddin’ Wine (Southglenn)

Uniquely odd, yet semi-traditional, Puddin’ Wine is a collaboration with Dogfish Head’s ‘brothers from another mother,’ Todd and Jason Alstöm of BeerAdvocate. Looking to Jason’s legendary Christmas pudding recipe as inspiration, this English-style Barleywine delivers an infusion of flavors through the addition of sultanas, cherries, black currants, plums, dark brown sugar and hazelnuts.

More beers will be added to the lineup. Check back on Parry’s facebook pages for more details.
