Rinn Duin Brewing Celebrates their 2nd Anniversary with an Event and Commemorative Bottle Release – February 27, 2016

Toms River, NJ: 2015 was an exciting and challenging year for Rinn Duin, and they’re celebrating with an Anniversary Party for family, friends, and supporters. The featured Anniversary Ale will be on tap in addition to a bottle release. The party begins at 2:00 pm at the brewery, located at 1540 Rt 37 W, Toms River, NJ.

Blackthorn 2nd Anniversary Ale is a tribute to Drogheda Ale, a once-popular Irish beer that dates back to the early 1800’s, brewed only with Irish Ale malt & East Kent Golding hops. For just two simple ingredients, this medium-heavy bodied ale is incredibly complex with a striking copper hue, fruity aroma, and lingering warm finish.

1,200 Blackthorn bombers will be available on a first come basis. Limit 4 bottles per person, $15 each.

About Drogheda Ale

Drogheda Ale was brewed by Cairnes Brewery, founded in 1825 in its namesake town, about an hour’s drive north of Dublin, Ireland. According to The Journal of the Royal Dublin Society – Volume 3, published in 1982, Drogheda Ale and “the porter” were the two most consumed beers in Ireland. Cairnes Brewery operated independently for 65 years before merging with Castlebellingham Brewery in 1890 under the name Castlebellingham and Drogheda Breweries Ltd. Renamed Cairnes Ltd in 1933, Drogheda Ale was produced until the brewery closed in 1965, when Guinness began to buy competitive breweries.
