Second Annual VIVA LYONS Fundraising Events Celebrate Colorado Flood Recovery in Lyons, CO.

Longmont, CO — The Second Annual VIVA LYONS, a series of community based events presented by Oskar Blues Brewery, will take place throughout the funky small town of Lyons, CO, Sept. 7th to 12th as a celebration of the town’s resiliency and recovery from the flood that swept through Lyons and the Front Range in 2013.

Proceeds from VIVA LYONS events support the Lyons Economic Development Commission’s revolving loan fund via the Can’d Aid Foundation.  The foundation was started in response to the 2013 flood and continues to support recovery efforts by working directly with the Town of Lyons. Many of the businesses involved in this year’s VIVA LYONS events received funding from CAN’d Aid that proved crucial in allowing them to keep their doors open in the aftermath of the disaster.

“VIVA LYONS is about local businesses coming together to celebrate the amazing comradery and progress of this creative small town while drawing attention to the strength of the community.” said Diana Ralston, Executive Director of the Can’d Aid Foundation.
