Cold, dark and delicious—the perfect winter brew deserves its moment in the sun. Great Basin Brewing Company will host a weeklong celebration of stout starting Monday, March 18, 2013 at their Reno and Sparks brewpubs in northern Nevada.

Learn a little; live a little. With a history that dates back to the 18th century, stout beer has been celebrated around the world and through the ages for its bold taste and rich, dark color. The modern stout is equally celebrated for its versatility—featuring flavors such as coffee, chocolate, milk or oatmeal to enhance the richness of the brew.

From March 18th until the stout runs out, Great Basin will feature a wide variety of their deliciously dark brews on tap, including: Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout
, Mollie’s Irish Stout
, Death-by-Chocolate Stout,
Cowboy Coffee Stout
, Russian Imperial Stout
, Nitro Mollie’s Irish Stout
, and their award-winning Outlaw Milk Stout.

The public is invited to come in for flight tastings and food pairings to experience the depth and diversity of these flavorful brews. The pairings will include a selection of artisan cheeses, Brewmaster’s ICKY bread, and house-made Triple-Chocolate-Bacon-Beer Brownies. Blind tastings also are available upon request.

Great Basin Brewing Company’s Outlaw Milk Stout has won several industry awards for excellence throughout the years, including silver medals from the World Beer Cup in 2012 and 2008, and a silver medal from the Great American Beer Festival® in 2011. The world-renowned, award-winning brew will be bottled and distributed later this year, and is available fresh from the tap at Great Basin Brewing Company.
