BOULDER, CO –FATE Brewing Company Owner, Mike Lawinski, and Head Brewer, Jeff Griffith are excited to announce the release of their first core beer brewed on site. FATE is releasing their American Stout on Sunday, March 24th, 2013. There will be a release party starting at 10:00am featuring all day happy hour pricing for the American Stout. Sunday’s release intentionally falls on the last day of Colorado Craft Beer Week. FATE Brewing Company has four other core style beers that they will release in the next several days.
Griffith describes the Stout as, “an Americanized version of a Foreign Extra Stout. It has a strong coffee-like roasted barley flavor and prominent roasted malt aroma. The American citrus hops lead to a brightness on the palate with a moderately dry finish. This rich stout pairs well with hearty fare like steak, BBQ and chocolate desserts. ” The American Stout is the first of five core beers that FATE will offer as part of their 30 tap handle line-up. Griffith is also in the process of brewing special releases that will be featured early summer. “I am exploring a wide range of original microbrews featuring experimental ingredients, historical styles and barrel aging” explained Griffith.
Griffith was the driving force behind Evolution IPA, Stand Up Double IPA, Imperial Stout, Javapeño Imperial Stout and more at Golden City Brewery, and Lawinski is confident that Griffith will help make FATE Brewing Company a, “household name” with his innovative approach to brewing. FATE has been serving a number of collaborations since opening the restaurant 7 weeks ago. Collaborations have been completed with Shine, Twisted Pine, Echo, Wild Woods, Crystal Springs, Asher, Boulder Beer, Big Choice, Lone Tree, Bru and more will be featured soon including, Upslope Brewing Company and more to come.
