The Denver [only] Beer Festivus Hits 50 Breweries

DENVER – More than fifty breweries will be pouring one of their core beers and a specialty beer at the sixth annual Denver [only] Beer Festivus. The holiday-themed festival will once again take place at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum (7711 E Academy Blvd #1, Denver CO 80230) on Saturday, December 16th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The celebrated event has grown from 19 to 50+ breweries, and has become widely known as the premier event that showcases Denver’s vibrant beer community.

“Trying to visit every brewery in Denver has become a lot harder in recent years,” said PJ Hoberman, co-owner of Two Parts. “Festivus puts many of these breweries under one roof, allowing localsFind a Craft Brewery and visitors the opportunity to sip their way through our mecca of beer.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to sample some of the most unique beers from the city. True to Denver [only] Beer Festivus form, there will be plenty of holiday cheer and entertainment including a fresh welcome pour of Denver Pale Ale from Great Divide Brewing Company upon entering the festival, a silent disco party, an ugly sweater contest (winner will be able to boast true bragging rights), Bad Santa, and a prize blimp dropping gift cards from your favorite local shops and restaurants.

“The Denver beer scene is both burgeoning and established, full of newcomers opening next to some of the bigger and older craft breweries in the country,” said Hoberman. “We have breweries producing a standard pale ale in one tank and some crazy hibiscus wallpaper-aged geuze gose with limeapple tang in the next.”

Tickets can be purchased at DenverBeerFestivus.com. General admission tickets are $40 and include unlimited tastings throughout the event and a commemorative glass. For those looking for a little extra, Feats of Strength tickets are $65 and include a food voucher, one hour early access to all breweries (3:00 p.m.), unlimited tastings, and a super special commemorative glass.
