BeerHoptacular Returns With Biggest Fest Yet

Share Post

After a brief hiatus, BeerHoptacular, one of Chicago’s original craft beer festivals, will make its triumphant return on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Cinespace Chicago Film Studios, west of downtown near Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood. For the sixth time, Chicago craft beer fans will come together to celebrate their love of American beer culture and sample from 75 different breweries.

“We are so excited to add BeerHoptacular to our portfolio of festivals,” said Josh Seago, presidents of Lou Dog Events, which acquired BeerHoptacular from Chicago-based Jam Entertainment and Creative Services. “BeerHoptacular has a loyal base of beer enthusiasts and a great reputation within the brewing community. We look forward to bringing back a festival that over the years has introduced such a diverse lineup of craft beers to so many thousands of Chicagoans.”

In addition to samples of over 150 craft beer options, guests will enjoy live music, food trucks, goods from local artisans, and the highly anticipated Homebrew Competition, in which scores of local home brewers battle it out for bragging rights. To enter, homebrew clubs can register through info@beerhoptacular.com. Tickets are $50 each ($60 for early entrance) and include entrance, beer samples, home brew samples, and a commemorative tasting glass. There will be two sessions on Saturday, November 5: 12:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-10:00 PM.

The location for the 6th annual BeerHoptacular, Cinespace Chicago Film Studios (2621 W. 15th Place), occupies nearly 1.45 million sq. ft. of what use to be the old Ryerson Steel Company.  Cinespace Chicago specializes in the development, management and operation of studio facilities and is the current the filming home of Chicago Fire, Chicago PD and Chicago Med.

A portion of the proceeds for the 2016 BeerHoptacular will benefit the Ignite the Spirit Fund, a Chicago Fire Department Charity that helps to ease the hardship of families in need. BeerHoptacular is for ages 21 and over. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit BeerHoptacular.com.
