BREWS BY THE BAY TICKETS NOW ON SALE

Brews by the Bay is back for its third year. Hosted by the Delaware Brewers Guild and the Garden State Craft Brewers Guild, Brews by the Bay is a two-state day-long celebration of the fantastic craft beer the two states have to offer.

On September 10th, over forty breweries from New Jersey and Delaware will be offering samples and tastings beginning at 11:30. Start your day on the New Jersey side at the Cape May Ferry Terminal, then cruise the ferry over to the Delaware side, beginning at 4pm at the Lewes Ferry Terminal.

Due to differing laws in the two states, the New Jersey side is limited to fifteen 4-ounce pours — about the size of a large growler. Additional tickets will be available for purchase, but once you head over to the Delaware side, it’s unlimited samples all evening!

Many breweries will be supplying one-off brews, limited releases, small batch tastings, and award-winning brews from both states. Be sure to try them all!

In addition, Cape May Brewing Company of New Jersey and Dogfish Head Brewery of Delaware will be taking over the taps on the Cape May-Lewes Ferries. The two Guilds have collaborated on a special brew, only available at Brews by the Bay on the 2:30pm ferry ride to Delaware. Full experience ticketholders will receive a tasting of this exclusive concoction and an opportunity to purchase additional tastings while enjoying the ride over to the Delaware festival. This brew is a nod to the Dutch nautical history of both Cape May and Lewes. It’s a Dutch golden ale featuring lemons, hibiscus, lemongrass and green cardamom.

Your ticket gets you admission to both sides of the event — or you could purchase a ticket for only one side of the bay. No beer festival is complete without a souvenir glass, which is included in your ticket. There will be excellent food from local restaurants and food trucks available for purchase, as well as yard games, live music, and spectacular views of the Delaware Bay. While, obviously, you must be over 21 to drink, it’s a great day for the whole family — including your favorite four-legged friends! Don’t leave your pup at home — bring him along!

Remember to B.Y.O.C. (bring your own chair), valid ID, lather on that sunblock on that late summer day, and prepare to have fun with hundreds of other craft beer lovers. This event will run Rain or Shine!

“Brews by the Bay is one of two beer festivals in New Jersey sponsored by the Guild,” says Garden State Brewers Guild president and co-owner of Cape May Brewing Company Ryan Krill. “It’s a beautiful day down by the bay, and a great chance for craft beer lovers throughout the tri-state area to sample all the fantastic beer the area has to offer.”

Tickets will be on sale the day of the event at the gate. Full Experience ($70), Delaware Only and New Jersey Only ($40) will be $5 more at the door. See brewsbythebay.ticketleap.com for tickets and more information.
