Back Forty Beer Company Releases Paw Paw’s Peach Wheat

Share Post

Spring is here, which means Back Forty Beer Co.’s Paw Paw’s Peach Wheat is back. As one of Back Forty’s most popular seasonal beers, this unique peach wheat ale celebrates the return of warm weather by bringing together two Southern staples for spring: peaches and craft beer.

With the goal of brewing a more enhanced and flavorful beer, Back Forty did extensive research and testing to create an improved recipe for this year’s brew. This American-style wheat ale boasts a new, all-natural recipe, is fermented on 100 percent peaches and contains no artificial flavors.

“We wanted to find a natural way to highlight the peach flavors already present in the beer so we tested and researched several varieties of hops and yeast strains that added natural fruit esters and really brought out the peach aroma,” said Back Forty CEO Jason Wilson. “Couple that with the creaminess from the Golden Naked Oats, and you have a smooth, approachable beer that highlights the tangy and refreshing flavor people expect from an Alabama peach.”

The new recipe is also the first widely released and packaged beer by Back Forty that is unfiltered. The unfiltered process naturally retains more body of the beer allowing for a more flavorful experience.

The light, crisp quality of Paw Paw’s Peach Wheat makes this beer perfect for pairing with a variety of dishes including Alabama Gulf Seafood, pork and even desserts. Check out “The Barn” on Back Forty’s website to learn more about food and beer pairings and recipes that incorporate craft beer.

Paw Paw’s Peach Wheat is available for a limited time throughout spring and summer in 12-ounce glass bottles and on draft in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi and Tennessee markets.
