Thirsty Monk will tap all twelve Beer Camp Across America beers at Thirsty Monk Biltmore Park, Thursday July 31; followed by the fourth annual Sour Fest Downtown August 4-8.

ASHEVILLE, NC – The Thirsty Monk is hosting their biggest events of the summer, beginning with the Sierra Nevada Special Tap Event at the Thirsty Monk Biltmore Park on July 31, 2014, and continuing with the fourth annual Sour Fest Downtown August 4-8, 2014.

The Sierra Nevada Beer Camp Across America Special Tap Event will be the first opportunity in Asheville to try all twelve beers on tap. These 12 collaborations include Allagash, Ballast Point, Bell’s, Cigar City, Firestone Walker, New Glarus, Ninkasi, Oskar Blues, Russian River, 3 Floyds and Victory, and a beer from the Asheville Brewers Alliance.

Those who attend will have the opportunity to enter a raffle drawing for tickets to Sierra Nevada’s highly anticipated 5,000 person Beer Camp Across America Festival, taking place August 3rd at their new Mills River brewery. The winner of the festival tickets will be announced at the Special Tap Event.

Lots of folks are planning to stick around after Beer Camp for the fourth annual Sour Fest, August 4-8, 2014 at Thirsty Monk Downtown, celebrating a week of daily releases of extremely rare sour beers, including BFM Vintage Bon-Chien, The Bruery’s Sour in the Rye, Birrifico Del Ducato’s Baciami Lipsia, Leipziger Gose, the Boulevard Saison Brett and many more. A schedule of releases will be shared as the week approaches.

Can’t attend Beer Camp? Thirsty Monk Downtown will be hosting Beer Camp Encore August 14, 21 and 28, with a scheduled re-release of all twelve Beer Camp beers each Thursday.

Thirsty Monk continues to grow its reputation as one of the Southeast’s finest craft bars with a full schedule of events like Beer Camp and Sour Fest in summer and continuing with Thirsty Fest in the fall to bring the best and most exciting beers to local and visiting beer lovers alike.
