Share Post

New Belgium Brewing’s 2016 Clips Beer and Film Tour is traveling across the U.S. in 2016, celebrating the brewery’s 25thanniversary while raising money for local nonprofits. This year three new cities join the line-up: Oakland, CA; St. Petersburg, FL; and Philadelphia, PA. The tour kicks off in Bloomington, IN on May 20th and concludes in Philly on October 21st. This is the seventh year for Clips, which is a free event, with all proceeds from beer sales going to local nonprofits. Since its inception in 2010, Clips has raised $659,000 for nonprofit organizations, including more than $150,000 last year.

“We have been working with many of our Clips partners for seven years and we are excited to celebrate New Belgium’s 25th anniversary with all of our non-profit friends across the country, along with everyone who comes out to enjoy a wonderful night of beers and films,” said Christie Catania, Clips national special events manager. “We will set up in great local parks, including a few new stops, to benefit some amazing beneficiaries. This year you can expect more games, new unique beers, and a film line-up only available at Clips. It is going to be a great year! Come out and play with us!”

Local beneficiary volunteers serve up the beer with close to 20 different New Belgium offerings on tap, available in 3-ounce samples, 12-ounce pours, or cans. Food from local vendors will also be available.

New Belgium, promoters of environmental stewardship, encourages attendees to think twice about throwing away trash, with a significant amount of waste diverted from landfills at each stop. In addition, all locations will have bike valet, encouraging people to ride their bike to the showings.
